These are the most used chipset in huawei modems, this post will help you to find whip chipset your huawei modem running with, all of you may know the main thing is qualcomm chipset supports android , but Hi-Silicon doesnt.

see the marked items carefully , connect your dongle , close the dafault software if its opening normally , then click on the search button , search button ( round marked button )

now see what happens..

it indicates the connected modem is huawei E 1731 ( 173Bu-1 ) with qualcomm MSM 6290 Chipset

ANDROID TABLET vs HUAWEI MODEM CHIPSET CLARIFICATION

Hi readers , today i am gonna talk with you the thing may be all of you guys known, but some new buddies asking me too much to create a post according to huawei usb dongles on android tablets, so this post only for helping those persons who were trying to connect there usb modems in their android tablets, anyway first of all i wanna tell two things to you ,

 

HOW CAN I CONNECT A HUAWEI DONGLE IN ANDROID TABLET CLICK HERE

 

1- all android tablets will not support huawei dongles

 

2- all huawei dongles will not support android tablets

 

Dont be panic , but its true thing, it depends upon your huawei dongle proccessor ( chipset )

 

same thing is in android too , there are alot of proccessors , qualcomm , cortex etc... practically i am using tablet which have 1.5 Ghz proccessor , Cortex-A8 , 1 GB DDR3 RAM , it supports all huawei dongles which have the qualcomm proccessor ( MSM 6290, MSM 6280 ) , but i am really sorry few models of huawei modems which have the above mentioned proccessor,which will not connect with android because of its firmware only supports RAS type connection , android tablets only supports NDIS type connectin,

1 - idea huawei E 1550 ( only this firmware 11.609.20.03.356 ) - qualcomm msm 6280

 

2 - vodafone k 3765 - qualcomm msm 6290

 

which dongles comes with qualcomm proccessor , which dongles supports android ??

e 173 , e 1732 , e 1731 ( 173 bu-1 ) , e 1550 ( expect 11.609.20.03.356 ) , e 1750 , e 171 ,

 

all these modems comes with qualcomm chipset, also alot of modems comes...

 

which dongles does not support android , and why ??

 

e 1731 ( 173cs-1 ) , k 3770 ( icera chipset ) , k 3772 , e 303s , e 303ds-1 , etc..

 

these modems comes with Hi-Silicon chipset , and many new modems with 86 imei also comes with this chipset, they will not connect with android..

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR HUAWEI USB MODEM IN YOUR ANDROID TABLET,

 

HERE I AM DESCRIBING YOU THE TRICK , HOW TO CONNECT HUAWEI DONGLES ON YOUR ANDROID TABLET, THE SIMPLE THING FIRST ALL YOU MUST NEED A SUPPORTED ANDROID TABLET AND SUPPORTED HUAWEI DONGLE , FOR THE CLARIFICATION YOU CAN CLICK HERE

 

1- confirm your dongle has  a  sim card with suffient balance and internet plan

 

2 - confirm with your computer , the dongle network type selected to WCDMA preffered ( very important )

 

3 - now turn on your android tablet goto settings - mobie networks- allow data connection - allow roaming - allow to use 2G & 3G ,

 

4 - now connect your dongle in the usb prt of your tablet

 

5 - wait few seconds, the dongle will connect automatically to the network

 

6 - if its not connected to the internet , you should check the tablet configured for the desired country or not, it means the tablet which you purchased from usa , after you came in india, when you reset it last time you select the country usa then its configured for usa , so you can connect automatically , you should change it to india , or you must take a reset and select india ( you can use the country where your located , which sim your using )

 

7 - otherwise also you can try to put apn settings mannually, but the above proceedure is very easy and working..
